How to View Facebook Profile Pictures in Full Size: A Complete Guide

Important Limitations:

Method 1: Using "mbasic" Browser Trick (Best for Locked Profiles)

  1. Go to the user's profile.
  2. Right-click anywhere on their profile page (but not on the profile picture itself) and select View Page Source (or press Ctrl+U on Windows / Cmd+Option+U on Mac).
  3. A page full of code will open. Press Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F) to open the search bar.
  4. Type og:image in the search bar and hit Enter.
  5. You will see a line of code that looks like this: <meta property="og:image" content="https://scontent-..."
  6. Copy the URL inside the quote marks starting with https://scontent.
  7. Paste that URL into a new browser tab.
  8. Crucial Step: Look at the URL you just pasted. Find the part that says /p100x100/ or /a1.0.0/. Delete that specific segment so the URL flows smoothly, or change it to /original/ if visible. Hit Enter. The full-size image will load.
