Update Verification Status

This report provides the current status and verification steps for software updates on the Snap-on Solus Pro diagnostic tool as of April 2026.

1. Do Nothing (Status Quo): If you work primarily on vehicles 2019 and older, the tool is still highly viable. Keep it as a backup or a dedicated "shop beater."
2. Trade-In: Snap-on offers trade-in programs. You can trade the Solus Pro toward a Solus Edge or Zeus. Note: The Solus Edge (EEES325) is the direct successor and is still currently supported for updates as of 2024.
3. Buy a Newer Tool: If you need coverage for 2021+ vehicles, you must upgrade. The Solus Pro hardware has reached the end of its service life.

The Future: When to Stop Updating the Solus Pro

• On Solus Pro: Settings → About → confirm firmware and software/build numbers match the target versions listed in the update utility.
• On PC: The update utility’s completion log should show success codes for each package installed and version numbers.

1. Confirm device = Solus Pro.
2. Charge device and connect power.
3. Backup device data to PC.
4. Install drivers and update utility on PC.
5. Disable antivirus & sleep modes.
6. Connect device via USB and run update utility.
7. Wait for completion; verify versions and run vehicle test.
8. Save logs and re-enable security.

Battery Voltage:
