1. Open the Software: Launch the CS-F300 application from your desktop or start menu.
2. Connect the Radio: Plug the connector end of the cable into the SP/MIC jack on the side of the IC-F3003. Ensure the radio is turned ON.
3. Set the Port: In the software, go to the Communication menu and select Communication Port Setup. Select the COM port number assigned to your USB cable.
4. Read from Radio: Go to Communication > Read from Radio. This will download the current configuration from the device into the software. Note: A brand new radio will have blank data, but this step is good for confirming the connection works.
