The story begins with a Rudraksha bead falling from the Himalayas and being discovered by Sati while she is by the river. Her sisters warn her that keeping it would infuriate their father, as it is a symbol of Lord Shiva, whom Daksh despises.

The pivotal moment of the episode is the appeal to Vishnu, who reveals the ultimate solution: only the being who is beyond creation, preservation, and destruction—Shiva—can destroy the demons born of Brahma’s ego. When Shiva opens his third eye, it is not depicted as a weapon of violence, but as the radiant light of pure consciousness that incinerates illusion ( Maya ). The demon Madhu and Kaitabha are not so much killed as they are dissolved back into the formless void from which they came.
