To access the Service Mode (also known as test mode or diagnostic mode) on a Bosch Serie 6 washing machine, follow the standard "key dance" sequence to view error codes or run component tests. How to Enter Service Mode Preparation
- Enter Service Mode as described in Part 2.
- Navigate to Test Code 99 (varies by software version, sometimes 88 or 00).
- Press and hold "Start/Reload" for 10 seconds.
- The display will flash "End" or "FAb" (Factory adjustment block).
- Immediately after reset, you must run a calibration:

If you select Code (Fault memory), the machine will cycle through stored errors. A typical error code might look like "E:30" (pump blocked) or "E:18" (heater relay stuck). Write these down before turning the machine off. Enter Service Mode as described in Part 2
- Check Error Logs: Rotate the knob to different positions to view the last stored error codes.
- Component Testing: You can manually activate the water valves, drain pump, and heater by pressing the function buttons.
- Resetting: Often, simply entering and exiting this mode can clear minor sensor glitches.
