To change the master password (Master Code) on an AEI DK-9830

• Default Passwords: If this is a new device, try default passwords such as 123456, 888888, or 65535. Some units have no default password (blank).
• Privilege Levels: A standard "User" cannot change the "Admin" password. You must be logged in as an Admin to change another Admin's password.
• Software: If you manage this device via PC software (like ZKTime), it is often easier to change user passwords in the software and upload them to the device, rather than typing on the small touchscreen.
