The "7 Islands Domain" is a map-based visual design method for Adaptive Hypermedia Systems (AHS) that enables non-technical users to create complex e-learning applications [19]. Developed at the University of Lugano, this framework uses an "archipelago" metaphor to represent learning components, allowing instructors to map system adaptations without coding [19].
